Join the beta

Legato is in testing. Testers get new builds first and shape what we fix next. You’ll need your own Xtream subscription from a provider to try it.

How to join

  1. Join the Discord. It’s where testers talk, get build announcements and report bugs.
  2. Install Legato with your platform’s link below.

iPhone and iPad

Install Apple’s TestFlight app from the App Store, then open the link on your iPhone or iPad and tap Accept, then Install.

Android phones and tablets

Open the link while signed in with your Google account and tap Become a tester. Then install Legato from the Play Store (it can take a few minutes to appear).

Android TV

Open the link on your phone or computer with the Google account your TV uses and tap Become a tester. Then install Legato from the Play Store on the TV.

Fire TV

Follow the link for the Fire TV build and its install steps. Recent sticks (Fire OS 7 and newer) are supported.

Mac

Coming soon

Open the .dmg and drag Legato to Applications. Test builds aren’t notarised yet, so the first time macOS may block it: open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.

WindowsComing

A .deb that uses your distribution’s mpv is on its way.

Reporting a problem

Post in the Discord’s bug-reports forum, one post per problem, with:

  • your device (for example “Fire TV Stick 4K Max” or “iPhone 15, iOS 26”);
  • the app version, from Settings → About;
  • what happened, what you expected, and roughly when;
  • the playback log for anything to do with playback: Settings → About → Export playback log (how).

Crop your provider’s server address, your username and your password out of any screenshot. If you’re not on Discord, or it’s private (including privacy requests), email hello@legato.tv.
